Small cake, small festivities

新年快乐, Happy Lunar New Year! How are you celebrating?

My recent obsession for celebrating events is using 6" round baking pans to make tall, tiny cakes. The mundane ease and efficiency of cupcakes has brought me back to desserts that embody love and labor.

Waste not; cram strawberries in between layers.

Don't underestimate their size; these small cakes can feed an army. Wishing you a safe and warm new year,

  4. Happy CNY to you and your family. Eat lots and have a wonderful time! I'm envious of your baking skills. I'm horrible in baking or cooking in general - no matter how many Masterchef episodes I watch.

  6. The baking pans - what a smart investment! Imagine the size of the cookies you could make if you used them as stencils...
