Wǒmen (我们): Contemporary Chinese Art Opening Gala

Jan 27, 2013

Opening night was magical, to say the least.

\\\\\\\\\\ the dress.
\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ the exhibition.
\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ the event.

Life's greatest moments, whether sorrowful or glorious, are unexplainable through words. It is ironic that in my first project as an amateur curator, I am not even old enough to pop open the celebratory champagne. Lessons learned: (1) bring a clutch, (2) wear heels but pack flats, (3) a year of hard work condensed in 3 hours goes by swiftly.

Seeing the artworks in person is definitely an experience; wholly different from viewing them on a computer monitor or inside a book.

Go forth and take flight;
Lean back with a gentle sigh;
Moonstruck and content.

Best complement I receive all night: "it made me proud to be Chinese."

  2. You look great! I wish I could have visit!

    /reply/ The ice is black because of the water underneath. We were skating on a super tiny lake/river that's about 2 minutes away from my house. :3
